2007 Business of the Year
Waste Management of North Texas

(the following below was read by Mary Jacoby, the Chamber's 2008 Chairman of the board at the Chamber's annual gala)

All 700 of the Chamber's business members are invaluable to the mission and the purpose of the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce. Without our Chamber Partners we could accomplish nothing!

Once a month, throughout the year, the Chamber recognizes one Chamber Business as the Business of the Month. The businesses are nominated by their fellow chamber members for the work they do in the Chamber and the community. If you are recognized as the Business of the Month, you are automatically in the running for the Business of Year award provided you have been a member of the Chamber for 12 consecutive months.

This year's Business of the Year is a long time Chamber member and is one of our Gold Level Major Investors. They have always supported the Chamber's missions and goals, served on the Board of Directors, numerous committees and is always a willing sponsor for Chamber programs. They are always supportive to the Chamber and the region with their time, talents and gifts.

The 2007 Business of the Year is involved with numerous community organizations including Christian Community Action and Keep Lewisville Beautiful - just to name a few. They are also involved on a national level with programs such as Keep America Beautiful and the Mayors City Livability Program.

You see them around our community keeping us clean and out of the dumps!  The 2007 Business of the Year is Waste Management of North Texas.
